I hate social media during the holidays! I don’t know how people afford to do so much with their kids, don’t get me wrong good for them but makes me feel like crap! I get the mum guilt!
I think most of it is for show and for the sake of showing people what amazing lives they have, no matter the cost! We certainly can't afford it and only have one!
I remember these feelings so well. I always felt guilty that we were not doing more or living the typical life of other families. My son helped me realize that our time together was more important and it created an un breakable bond that we both cherish today. 💕
Oh, yes. Kids just want us and our time. I've learned to remember this during days with my family that look different than those of other typical families. Routines, a visual schedule, and lots of time content at home... If I'm managing to keep my cup full, which I view as another "job" of mine, then I think I'm doing great. Great for myself, and great for my littles. They show their nonverbal appreciation in smiles, and I'll take it!
Thats a good point that making sure your cup is full too is a job, because it really is! Nonverbal must be so difficult for you but I bet that smile is amazing!

Absolutely love this! Me and my son also have the same bond, we've never been apart and it is something to cherish ❤️
